An International Educational Program
The Game Plan
1. To create a connection-mode classroom, you use the teacher portal which:
-
presents a short training on the brain, nervous system, as well as how to start the program
-
maps out a 10-day rollout to lay the foundation of a connection-mode classroom
-
includes ten, fun (4-7 minutes long) daily lessons
-
provides nine short, entertaining content videos about the brain and nervous system
-
models using the six connection-mode teaching strategies in those content videos
-
gives examples of integrating the teaching strategies into the regular content curriculum
-
introduces each of the 28 connection-mode actions in a short video (where everyone follows along whatever is being modeled)
-
suggests ways to slip in connection-mode actions, both inside and outside the classroom
-
links common baffling, distracting, and disruptive behaviors with incomplete lower brain development
-
offers 104 simple actions (nearly half require no more than adopting an allow, reduce and refrain mindset) to help those who have not finished their lower brain development learn with ease and stay in connection mode
-
correlates specific parts of the CM on the Go program and Connection Mode book to expand on information presented in each Daily Lesson and as quick resources for answering questions from those not directly involved in the program
-
includes an Extras section that has a link to the entire Connection Mode on the Go program, as well as audio clips, videos, and pdf files to enhance what has been presented as part of the 10-day rollout
2. Once the 10-day rollout is completed, you continue to use the portal as a resource to review information (if needed) or to learn new information from the videos, audios, and files in the optional Extras section. But after the 10-day rollout, you are basically now set up as a connection-mode classroom that now basically runs on autopilot.
The Realities
-
The “in the meantime” actions—those that help those who have not finished their lower brain development compensate for some or many missing automatic brain functions—aren’t transferable to other environments that haven’t also put those actions in place (i.e., we would not expect the same results).
-
The “in the meantime” actions do not develop the lower brain. That is an entirely different process, which is part of our Family and Adult programs. For many reasons, it is not feasible to learn how to develop the lower brain and do those related movements within the classroom.
-
However, the “in the meantime” actions do offer a powerful preview of how those with incomplete lower brain development would act and learn if that development was completed (which means there is also no longer any need to do “in the meantime” actions).
-
To yield notable (often remarkable changes), all four parts of a connection-mode classroom need to be implemented.
-
While we always appreciate enthusiasm when learning something new, you can’t share access to the Teacher Portal (or forward links to parts of it) to others.
-
In a world where who’s liable is sometimes ambiguous, we want to clarify here that you assume full responsibility and all liability for whatever you choose to do related to your participation in the Connection Mode Classroom: Teacher Portal.
