The Family Program

What You Need to Know

The Game Plan

(These actions ensure that you and your child experience changes sooner than later.)

    Part 1

  • Read Best Practices: Navigating the Course to Yield Lasting Results (at the top of your program portal page). This file offers a quick recap of the most common topics, concerns, and questions that class facilitators addressed when prior families participated in the program with support.

  • Implement the program in order, starting with Part 1, Pre-Course Week 1.

  • Review all the Pre-course Weeks 1 and 2 (parent-only) materials so that you’re ready to be your kids’ brain facilitator when they start developing their lower brain at Week 1.

  • Commit to 20-30 minutes daily to do the lower brain work while you and your child also listen to audios and watch videos to learn about the brain and nervous system. There’s some flexibility, such as missing days due to illness or travel or needing to do shorter sessions at times.

  • Decide when you will do Brain Highways each day. If needed, divide the daily commitment into two separate sessions.

  • Follow the steps presented on each day of the course.

  • Set aside another approximately 5-10 minutes (Saturday-Thursday) to review additional parent support or bonus materials.

    Part 2

  • Expand on what you learned in Part 1 by doing new, advanced movements to further develop your lower brain lower and restore your nervous system’s flexibility.

  • Decide how often you want to spend developing your lower brain each week, including whether you want to do that every day. (There’s far more flexibility in Part 2 because information is now grouped under topics, rather than on days, and you will have established enough of a lower brain foundation that new neural circuits will still remain—even if you don’t do the movements daily.)

The Realities

(It’s a challenge to make reality statements sound cheery, so please know that we’re way nicer than how any of this might come across.)

  • Since we don’t offer refunds, you need to be sure that you understand what this course does and does not offer, such as there is a wealth of specific guidance for doing the program on your own within the weekly materials—but there is no additional email, Zoom, or phone call support.

  • Since Brain Highways is not a medical program, there is, unfortunately, no way for medical insurance or flex plans to pay for this course.

  • While we always appreciate enthusiasm when learning, you can’t share any of the course materials with those outside of your family, such as forwarding links or duplicating materials or trying to teach parts of the program to others.

  • If you have any doubt as to whether a pre-existing physical condition might interfere with doing the lower brain movements, consult with your medical professional before enrolling.  (See the FAQ to learn what those movements entail.)

  • In a world where who’s liable is sometimes ambiguous, we want to clarify here that you assume full responsibility and all liability for whatever you choose to do related to everyone’s participation in the Family Program.

The Best Part

  • Your family changes their brain and nervous system—and everyone has lots of fun while doing so!
