Class Schedules

GENERAL PAYMENT POLICIES

  • The class fee is for an 8-week session. One half the class fee is due at the time of enrollment. The remaining balance is due at the first class of the fourth week of the session.

  • Once enrolled, there are no refunds or credits toward a future class. There are truly no exceptions to this policy.

  • Once enrolled, the second payment is due regardless whether circumstances prevent regular attendance.

  • Participants purchase a balance board ($53.75) and Adventure Trails CD ($12.95) at the parent only evening class. These items are an integral part of the program and are sold to participants at wholesale prices.

  • Enrollment is done during Drop-in Times. Form of payment: We accept checks or cash.

ELEMENTARY-AGE GROUP CLASSES
8-week parent/ child session

Total Class Fee: $550
$275 due at enrollment; $275 due on the fourth week
Covers one child and two parents

Fee includes one parent-only evening class, 16 session classes, and 32 (optional) Drop-in sessions, and individual support (e.g. phone calls, meeting) as determined necessary by staff



PARENT/CHILD PRESCHOOL CLASSES
8-week parent/child session

Total Class Fee: $550
$275 due at enrollment; $275 due on the fourth week
Covers one child and two parents

Fee includes one parent-only evening class, 8 session classes, and 32 (optional) Drop-in sessions, and individual support (e.g. phone calls, meeting) as determined necessary by staff





TEEN and ADULT CLASSES
8-week session

Total Class Fee: $550
$275 due at enrollment; $275 due on the fourth week

Covers one parent-only evening class (for teens’ parents and adult participants), assessment of each participants’ early brain development, 16 session classes, and individual support (e.g. phone calls, meeting) as determined necessary by staff




Additional Clarifications on Brain Highways

1. Brain Highways it is not a medical program, nor are its activities or movements considered therapy.

2. Brain Highways is only an educational program intended to provide information, movements, and activities related to brain development.

3. It would be a gross misrepresentation of the Brain Highways program to use information acquired in classes or support materials as the basis for challenging a medical diagnosis or changing treatment prescribed by a medical professional.

4. It would be a gross misrepresentation of the Brain Highways program to use information acquired in classes or support materials as the basis for identifying a child as having a learning disability or in need of placement in Special Education classes.

5. To ensure that the Brain Highways Center does not present any financial burden on the schools, Brain Highways will not accept payment from school districts for enrollment of an individual child in program classes or for other services. This includes, but is not limited to, children in Special Education and children who have been assessed by a Student Study Team.

6. Brain Highways is intended to enhance, not replace, other interventions.

7. Brain Highways makes no claims to “cure” or “fix” a child.

8. Parent participants commit to facilitating the weekly At-Home Brain Highways program; child participants commit to doing it.

9. Brain Highways facilitators reserve the right to excuse a parent and child from on-going program participation if such participants do not attend classes regularly, do not honor the established class guidelines, and are not committed to completing the weekly At-Home component. In such cases, participants receive written notice that specifies which part of the original agreement is not being honored. If improvement is not immediately noted, the child's and parent's participation ends and any remaining balance is paid at the time of dismissal.

10. Parents make other prior arrangements for siblings during class time; only the enrolled parent(s) and child are allowed in the center when classes are in session. This policy also applies to Drop-In sessions.

11. Participants pay for the 8-week session in two payments and agree to pay the second payment regardless whether they continue to attend classes.

12. In case of absences, participants email or call the lead instructor of the class. Only family emergencies and illnesses are considered excused absences.

13. If both parents choose to enroll in the class, one of those parents commits to coming to all classes.

14. The designated participating parent must attend a parent-only evening class.

15. Each individual parent assumes full responsibility and liability for deciding whether program information is valid, relevant, and applicable to his or her child.

16. Each individual parent assumes full responsibility and liability for ensuring his or her child’s safety during class sessions, while doing program activities at home, and when doing program activities in all other environments.

17. Parent participants acknowledge that all Brain Highways materials are copyrighted and the duplication of such materials without written permission is an infringement of copyright law.
