“Learning and development are about forming new synapses and pathways of neurons. Brain Highways is a unique and effective program to train the brain.”

Brain Highways on Facebook

Programs

Not everyone knows two remarkable facts: The brain can change, and we can teach parents how to facilitate such changes in their kids. There’s a lot of power in both those statements.

For families who live near or in San Diego or Denver, we offer our core program at one of our Brain Highways Centers—which are often referred to as the "Disneyland" of brain labs. Filled with sensory-rich apparatus and materials, this is where the Brain Highways staff teams with parents to lead their children in entertaining activities focusing on whole brain organization.

Local participants also receive weekly multimedia links that include a wealth of entertaining videos and audio clips, along with a myriad of informative handouts on key topics.

For everyone else, we offer the online program. With this format, families acquire the same multimedia links presented in the local program, but they do the program in their own home.

However, in the online program, Brain Highways staff provides written feedback to parents’ questionnaire responses and to short videos (that they send of their child doing key brain movements) so that individual needs and concerns are met. For online families who want to interact with others while doing the program, they can post their experiences on our facebook page.

In each program, our focus is the same. We provide parents tools and resources to become independent facilitators of their child’s brain organization as quickly as possible. We teach innovative ways to deal with concerning and out-of-bounds behavior—long before the highways are in place—so that families start to experience positive changes very early in the program. We offer an additional comprehensive parent supplement that highlights a creative, systematic way to ensure we’re parenting with a more positive than negatively wired brain. We teach both parents and kids how the brain functions so they can then apply such information to their daily lives, as well as ignite new hope for the kind of changes that are possible with brain organization.

At the local centers, we additionally offer content curriculum classes in math, reading, and writing, along with science camps and sports clinics. In our content curriculum classes, we present hands-on, zany lessons that parallel how the brain learns naturally. In our Science Camps, we integrate movements that develop lower centers of the brain with unusual experiments and creative thinking. In our Sports Clinics, we teach participants how to discover and practice at their “edge,” which then allows them to progress at rapid speed.

In short, all of our programs apply what we know about the brain to make life a whole lot easier and to ensure that learning is joyful for all.
