Frequently Asked Questions about the Online Screening
Online Screening Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Can I submit a screening video for more than one child?
Yes, but you will need to submit a separate request for each child.
2. Is there a limit to how many screening videos I can submit?
We limit four screenings per family. If there are special circumstances that warrant more family members being screened, please contact us.
3. Can I submit a video for an older teen or adult?
If an older teen or adult is actually interested in doing the online curriculum, they can submit an Option A screening.
4. Can I have my child screened via Skype or a live webcam?
Sorry, but we’re only able to offer screenings as described on the site.
5. How do I request a screening?
6. What happens after I request a screening?
You fill out a simple form so that we know how to contact you with your child’s results. Please note that we will not use your information for anything else. Once you submit that form, you’ll receive an automatic email that gives you a password to a link where you’ll be able to download the Screening Preview Video and the Screening Instruction Booklet. This page also provides instructions for uploading the video after the screening is completed.
7. Can I upload the screening in parts?
Sure. Whatever is easiest for you.
8. If I submit Option A, can I submit Option B at a later date?
No. The idea is to pick one option.
9. Can I submit a screening of the same child at a later date (e.g. submit a screening in November and then again in April)?
No. We screen kids (who are not enrolled in the program) just once. Note that there is also no benefit to doing a second or third screening if the child has yet to begin the brain organization work. Any subsequent assessment will just show the exact same results.
10. Can I submit a screening of one child and then one of another child at a later date?
11. What if I have any trouble uploading the video?
12. What happens to the screening video after parents receive the results?
On our end, we delete the video. However, if parents plan to enroll in the online course, we encourage them to keep it. Once the brain organization is complete, the original screening video becomes a terrific pre-and-post evaluation.
13. If I live near the Brain Highways Center, can I still request an online screening?
No, we offer free screenings at the Brain Highways Center every Sunday evening for families who live within a 30-mile radius. To make a reservation, please submit the form that appears on the San Diego Screenings page.
