Local Class Particpants

Kids and their parents attend our entertaining weekly classes at the Brain Highways Center.

Our classes are for kids ages 3-14 (but our parent age range has no limit).

Kids are grouped by similar ages, but not because the process for brain organization works differently for older than younger children. Rather, we just know that older kids—no matter how cute and adorable a preschooler may be—need to be in a class with peers who seem somewhat similar in age.

Grouping by age also allows us to create smaller classes with a higher staff ratio for our youngest kids.

Since we don’t have a local program for teens older than 14, this age group may enroll in the online program (however, they still need to attend a Community Screening session on Sunday evening.) In all other cases, the online program is just for families who live outside of San Diego County.

Note that all kids, regardless whether they have a diagnosis, such as autism, Asperger’s, ADD, Reactive Attachment Disorder—or are just  behind academically or struggling elsewhere—benefit from our participating in our program.

That’s because staff is trained to subtly peel back or increase program challenges during classes. This makes it possible to offer group classes, even though kids may range significantly in their development.

Staff also individually responds to parents’ program questionnaire responses in order to address concerns specific to each child. Moreover, our curriculum is designed to allow kids to lay down neural networks in their natural order of development. That latter variable is key to ensuring that kids of varying abilities all move forward.
